You can synchronize your Products and Variants with Airtable thanks to SyncBase. This topic explains how it works.

Overview

• Products data can be found in the Products tab.

How Shopify structures Products and Variants

Each product always has at least one variant in Shopify — even if it’s not visible in the admin. When there’s only one variant, Shopify creates a Default variant behind the scenes. You’ll see it in your synced Airtable base.

Creating a new Product or a new Variant from Shopify

Any new Product or Variant created from Shopify will appear in your Airtable base within seconds — no action needed.

Updating Product and Variant from Airtable

Updates made in Airtable are updating instantly (except when you're doing bulk operations - learn more about sync speed) to Shopify. Do not forget to refresh your Shopify page to see changes.

Please note that these data can't be empty:

• Product Title
• Product Handle
• Product Vendor
• Product Handle

Updating Product and Variant from Shopify

Shopify does not always send us a webhook (= an alert to tell us that you changed something). It depends to which update you made, and others criteria's. It means that some changes made in Shopify are updating smoothly to Airtable and others don't.

Deleting Products and/or Variants from Airtable

By default, SyncBase does not allow deletions from Airtable. This is to protect your product catalog from accidental bulk deletion in Shopify.

Good to know

• Handles must be unique. If there are duplicates, Shopify will reject the update. See how to find and fix duplicate handles.
• Country of Origin code values can be misleading. Check Shopify’s country code list
