🔄 Refresh your data on demand
The Refresh feature lets you manually update your Airtable base with the latest Shopify data—whenever you need it.
This is useful if Shopify changes were not captured by a webhook, or if you simply want to force-update specific records.
SyncBase offers two refresh modes: refreshing individual records or refreshing entire tables.
Both options help you keep your Airtable base perfectly aligned with your Shopify store at all times.
Refresh individual records
Use this option when you want to refresh only one or a few specific records—for example, a single product or customer.
- Go on the Synchronization tab in SyncBase.
- Under Refresh individual records, choose the entity type (e.g. Product, Variant, Customer…).
- Enter the Shopify ID of the record you want to refresh.
- Press Enter to add it to the list.
- Repeat if you need to refresh multiple individual records.
- Start the refresh.

Refresh entire tables
Use this option to refresh all records of a specific Shopify entity (Products, Variants, Orders, Customers, etc.).
- Go on the Synchronization tab in SyncBase.
- Scroll to the Refresh entire tables section.
- Select one or multiple tables to refresh (e.g. Products, Variants, Product Metafields…).
- (Optional) Add specific IDs to refresh only those records instead of the whole table.
- Run the refresh.

Refresh Orders or Customers from a specific date
When refreshing Orders or Customers, you must select a starting date for the refresh.
By default, this date is set to 3 months ago.
How it works
- Go to the Refresh section in SyncBase.
- Select Orders and/or Customers in the list of tables.
- As soon as you tick one of these tables, a date picker appears.
- Choose the starting date from which you want to refresh the data. (You can select any date up to 3 months in the past.)
- Launch the refresh.
Only Orders or Customers created or updated after the selected date will be refreshed.
What happens during a refresh
While a refresh is running, all automatic synchronizations are temporarily paused.
This means that any updates happening during the refresh are queued and will only be processed once the refresh is fully completed.
Examples:
- An order placed in Shopify during the refresh will not immediately appear in Airtable.
- A product title updated in Airtable during the refresh will not be sent to Shopify right away.
As soon as the refresh ends, SyncBase automatically resumes the synchronization and processes all queued updates in the correct order.
Best practice during a refresh
To avoid confusion or delayed updates, we strongly recommend:
- Avoid making changes in Shopify or Airtable while a refresh is running
- Wait until the refresh is fully completed before performing new updates
You’ll receive an email when the refresh starts and another one when it finishes, so you’ll know exactly when it’s safe to resume normal activity.
When should I use refresh?
Use the Refresh feature when:
- You made changes in Shopify that are not visible yet in Airtable. (Make sure that your updates are not just waiting in the queue)
- A sync didn’t happen automatically.
- You need to re-sync data after a bulk action or import.
- You want to double-check that Airtable matches Shopify before making business decisions.
Email notifications
When you launch a refresh, SyncBase automatically sends you an email confirmation to let you know the process has started.
As soon as the refresh is fully completed, you’ll receive a second email confirming that everything is done.
This way, you always know exactly when your data is being refreshed — and when synchronization is fully resumed.
