✚ How to create a new variant from Airtable with SyncBase?

Good news — you can create a new Variant directly from Airtable!

Creating a blank record and filling it later will not work. You must create the record with the required fields already filled (using Forms, Automations, or Scripts) by following the 4 steps below.


  1. Get the Product ID of the product where you want to add a new variant.
  2. In the Variants tab, create a new record with at least: a Product ID and an Option 1 value.
  3. Wait a few seconds.
  4. A Variant ID should appear in your new record (and a new entry will also be created in the Variants Metafields tab).


That’s it! Your new variant is now live in Shopify 🚀






Good to know


  • Here are values you call fill during the Variant Creation process: Price, CompareAtPrice , Barcode , Option 1, 2 or 3 (if Options exist at product-level).
  • Do not fill in the Variant ID and Variant Name columns. These values are generated automatically by Shopify.
