✚ How to create a new blog post (article) from Airtable with SyncBase?
SyncBase allows you to create new Shopify blog post (or article) directly from Airtable, without going through the Shopify admin.
There are two ways to create a blog post, depending on your workflow.
Method 1: Create a blank blog post
This method is ideal if you want to manually create a single article and edit it afterward.
Steps
- In Airtable, go to the
Blog poststable. - Create a new record (add a new row).
- Wait a few seconds.
SyncBase will automatically:
- Create the blog post in Shopify.
- Populate the Blog Post ID.
- Add placeholder/default data in the record.
How to confirm it worked
When the Blog Post ID field is populated, it means the article has been successfully created in Shopify.
You can then edit the title, content, SEO fields, image, and other details directly from Airtable.
Method 2: Create a blog post with pre-filled data
This method is perfect if you want to create one or multiple articles at once using Forms, Automations, or Scripts.
Required fields
To create a blog post this way, you must fill in at least:
- Title
- Author
You can also fill in additional fields (content, excerpt, image, SEO data, etc.) at the same time.
Steps
- In the
Blog poststable, create a new record with your data already filled in. - Make sure at least Title and Author are completed.
- Wait a few seconds.
SyncBase will send the data to Shopify and create the blog post.
How to confirm it worked
Just like in Method 1, when the Blog Post ID field is populated, the article has been successfully created in Shopify.
How it works
- In Airtable, go to the
Blog poststab. - Create a new record (just add a new row).
- Wait a few seconds — SyncBase will automatically fill in the default data.
- Start editing your new blog post directly in Airtable!
Sync behavior
Real-time synchronization
Blog post creation and updates are processed in real time.
As soon as a record is added or updated in Airtable, SyncBase automatically sends the changes to Shopify — and keeps both systems perfectly aligned.
