📩 Understanding SyncBase error reports
SyncBase can automatically email you when something goes wrong during the synchronization between Shopify and Airtable — so you always know what happened and how to fix it, without having to watch your base.
How error reports work
Once a day, SyncBase checks every error that occurred in your synchronization over the last 24 hours. If your store had at least one error, you receive an email report summarizing what happened.
- If there were no errors, you receive nothing — we only email you when there's something to act on.
- If the same error happened many times (for example across dozens of records), it's listed once with the number of times it occurred — not as dozens of separate lines.
The two types of errors
Not all errors behave the same way, so SyncBase splits them into two types and notifies you differently.
Operational errors
These happen when a specific action couldn't be completed, but your synchronization keeps working overall — for example, incorrect data entered in a field. All operational errors from the last 24 hours are grouped into a single daily report email.
System errors
These are more serious: something is blocking your base or its access, so the sync can't run properly until it's fixed — for example, reaching your Airtable record limit or a lost Airtable connection. Each system error is sent as its own dedicated email so it doesn't get lost in a list.
What's inside a report
Each error report includes:
- The Shopify store concerned
- Each error that occurred, with how many times it happened
- A link to the relevant Help Center article explaining what the error means and how to fix it
- A link to your
Errors synctab in Airtable, where you can see every error live

Turning off the daily report
If you'd rather manage errors your own way, you can unsubscribe from the daily operational report at any time. Go to the Settings tab of the SyncBase app inside your Shopify admin and turn off the error report option.
