🗂️ How to add metaobjects to your synced base?
This feature is available on Business, Elite, and Enterprise plans.
You can add your Shopify metaobjects to your current synced base and manage them directly from Airtable. SyncBase will create one new table per metaobject definition, including all existing entries.
Option 1: Add metaobjects to your current base
- Go to your Shopify Admin.
- Open the SyncBase app.
- In the left menu, click Synchronization.
- Go to the Refresh your base section.
- Tick the checkbox Metaobjects.
- Click Refresh base.
Your base will now update and add new tables — one for each metaobject definition, with all existing entries already synced.
Option 2: Start from scratch with a new base
If you prefer, you can reset your synchronization and generate a new custom base that includes metaobjects from the start.
- Go to the Synchronization tab and click Delete synchronization.
- In the left menu, open the Main tab of the app.
- Select Custom base generation.
- Choose the data you want to sync (make sure to include Metaobjects).
- Click Launch to generate your new Airtable base.
Good to know
- Metaobjects are not synced automatically when you upgrade. You need to enable them manually.
- Refreshing your base will not affect the custom tabs or columns you created manually.
- Each new table will automatically stay in sync with Shopify, just like your other data.
