# 🚦 Sync status: monitor your connection health

Keeping an eye on your synchronization status helps ensure everything runs smoothly between Shopify and Airtable. The **Status** page gives you a complete overview of your connection, webhooks, queue, and errors — all in one place. If something feels slow or broken, this is the first place to check.

# Access the Status page

In your SyncBase app, click on **Status** in the main menu.

__You’ll see four main sections__:

* Airtable token status
* Webhooks
* Tasks (queue)
* Errors monitoring

Each section helps you quickly identify where a potential issue may come from.

# Airtable token status

This section shows whether your **Airtable Personal Access Token** is active.

### What “Active” means

__If the status is **active**, SyncBase can properly connect to__:

* Your Airtable account
* Your Airtable-synced base

Everything is working on the authentication side ✅

### If the token is “Broken” or “Inactive”

Synchronization cannot work without a valid token.

__Common reasons__:

* You deleted your Personal Access Token in Airtable
* You removed required scopes or permissions
* You changed the connected workspace
* You modified access to the synced base

If this happens, review your token configuration and permissions. If you’re unsure, contact us via the live chat — we’ll help you fix it quickly.

# Webhooks

SyncBase relies on **Shopify and Airtable webhooks** to detect updates automatically.
When webhooks are **active**, updates made in Shopify or Airtable are instantly detected and synced.

### Why some webhooks can be inactive

__Your webhook status depends on your **sync direction settings**__:

* **Two-way sync** → All required webhooks should be active
* **One-way sync (Airtable → Shopify)** → Shopify webhooks may be inactive (this is normal)
* **One-way sync (Shopify → Airtable)** → Airtable webhooks may be inactive (this is normal)

If you selected **two-way sync** and see inactive webhooks, a **Refresh webhooks** button will appear.
Click it to automatically re-register them.

If you’re using one-way sync, inactive webhooks can be totally expected.

# Tasks (synchronization queue)

This section shows how many updates are currently waiting to be processed.

### Why is there a queue?

Shopify and Airtable APIs have rate limits.

__To stay within those limits, SyncBase__:

1. Stores updates in a queue
2. Processes them one by one

__For example__:

* You run a bulk update in Airtable
* Then you edit one product manually

The single update will wait until all bulk updates are processed.

### What to expect

__If you see pending tasks__:

* No worries — they are being processed
* You can refresh the counter to see if the number is decreasing

If the number is going down, everything is working normally.

### Discard all tasks (with caution)

||| If you discard tasks, all pending updates will be permanently lost. Changes made in Shopify or Airtable that were not yet processed will not be synced. Only use this option if you are sure.

You can click **Discard all tasks** to clear the queue.
If your queue seems stuck, contact us via live chat before discarding tasks.

# Errors monitoring

Each Airtable-synced base includes a dedicated `Sync Errors` table.

From the Status page, click **Go to Errors tab** to open it directly.

__If a synchronization error occurs (for example)__:

* A required field was deleted
* A field format was changed
* An invalid value was entered

__A detailed error record is created, including__:

* The affected record
* The error message
* The cause

This helps you quickly understand and fix the issue.

### Pro tip: Set up alerts

__You can use **Airtable Automations** on the `Sync Errors` table to__:

* Send email alerts
* Send Slack notifications
* Trigger internal workflows

This way, you’re immediately notified when something goes wrong.

# When everything is green

__If__:
* Your Airtable token is active
* Required webhooks are active
* Your task queue is empty or decreasing
* No errors appear

Your synchronization is healthy and running smoothly 🚀
