# 🤝 Multi-store: how to sync multiple stores with Airtable?

SyncBase lets you manage data from multiple Shopify stores using Airtable, while keeping each store properly isolated and fully synced.
Each Shopify store gets its own Airtable-synced base, and you can then connect all of them to a central **master base** to manage everything from one place.

This setup gives you flexibility, clarity, and full control over your multi-store data.

# How it works

### 1. One Airtable-synced base per Shopify store

Each Shopify store must have its own dedicated Airtable-synced base.

1. Install SyncBase on each Shopify store you want to connect.
2. During onboarding, generate a **new Airtable-synced base** for that store.
3. Repeat the process for every store.

__At the end, you’ll have__:

* Store A → Synced Base A
* Store B → Synced Base B
* Store C → Synced Base C

Each base stays fully synced with its own Shopify store, based on the sync direction you selected.

### 2. Choose your master base to manage all stores

Once each store has its own synced base, you can centralize everything using a **master base**.

You have **two options**:

###### Option 1: Use an existing synced base as the master base

* Select one of the Airtable-synced bases already created by SyncBase.
* This base becomes your main control center.
* Use Airtable’s **base-to-base sync** feature to pull data from the other store-specific synced bases into this one.

###### Option 2: Create a dedicated master base

* Create a new Airtable base specifically for central management.
* Use Airtable’s **base-to-base sync** feature to connect all your store-specific synced bases.
* Choose exactly which tables and fields you want to sync into the master base.

In both cases, you decide what data is centralized and how it’s organized.

### 3. Control store data from the master base

Whether you’re using an existing synced base or a dedicated master base, the behavior is the same.

__When you update data in the master base__:

* Changes are synced back to the corresponding **store-specific synced base**
* SyncBase then applies those updates to the correct Shopify store

__This ensures that__:

* Each Shopify store remains independent
* Updates are always applied to the right store
* You can manage multiple stores from one central place without mixing data

Your master base becomes the single source of truth, while each synced base keeps a clean and reliable connection to its own Shopify store.


# Good to know

* **One subscription per store is required**: Shopify requires SyncBase to be installed separately on each store, so every store you want to sync must have its own plan.
