# 🔄 Choose your sync direction

SyncBase lets you decide **how your data flows** between Shopify and Airtable:
* **Two-way sync**
* **One-way: Shopify → Airtable**
* **One-way: Airtable → Shopify**

You can set this during onboarding, and update it later at any time.
Below is how to choose (and change) your sync direction.

# During the base generation

1. Wait until you reach the **Sync direction** step.
2. Choose the sync direction that fits your workflow.
3. Continue the onboarding process.

✅ Your sync will now follow the direction you selected.

# After base generation

1. Open the **SyncBase** app.
2. Go to the **Synchronization** tab.
3. Update your sync direction preference.
4. Click **Update direction**.

✅ Your sync direction is immediately updated.
